About Obanhmi

We run seven Vietnamese sandwich locations across Greater Vancouver, supported by a central production kitchen. A good close matters because it protects food quality, keeps the store clean and secure, and gives the next opening team a strong start.

The Role

You will work across multiple Obanhmi locations to help keep standards tight, support daily execution, and strengthen store leadership.

This role is hands-on. The expectation is that you will work with Leadership to shape the company's expectations, then spend most of your time in stores carrying them out by working with each store and team, solving real operating problems, coaching shift leaders, and using good judgment within clear boundaries to help keep the business stable as it grows.

Core Responsibilities

Multi-Location Operations

  • Rotate across locations based on operational needs

  • Audit food quality, cleanliness, speed of service, and team execution

  • Support stores that are short-staffed, unstable, or underperforming

  • Review inventory flow, shortages, waste issues, and replenishment from the central kitchen

  • Help reset weak stores and keep standards from slipping

  • Keep locations compliant with food safety and day-to-day operating standards

Team Management

  • Work with Leadership to train and develop shift leaders and store staff across locations

  • Build and manage weekly schedules within labour targets

  • Coach shift leaders so they can run stronger shifts independently

  • Address day-to-day performance issues directly and escalate serious disciplinary issues to Randy and Juween

Communication and Systems

  • Keep clear follow-up notes and store-level accountability across locations

  • Communicate directly with Leadership on staffing gaps, standards issues, and operating risks

  • Help turn repeat problems into stronger systems, routines, and checklists

Safety & Compliance

  • Ensure the team follows company procedures, food safety requirements, and workplace safety standards

  • Double-check safe food handling, product freshness, sanitation, cleaning routines, portion consistency, presentation, labeling, and station cleanliness

  • Keep the store clean, organized, and ready for inspection

  • Report equipment, maintenance, or compliance concerns right away

  • Act on unsafe conditions right away and escalate any food-safety or workplace-safety concern that cannot be corrected safely during the shift

What We're Looking For

Required

  • Able and willing to work early mornings, evenings, and occasional extended or changing hours when operations require it, including overseeing and fulfilling large corporate orders

  • Experience supporting more than one food-service or retail location

  • Experience coaching Shift Leaders or training new team members

  • Experience with Square POS, cash controls, delivery apps, self-order kiosks, inventory systems, or central-kitchen replenishment

  • Experience improving an underperforming store or helping standardize routines across a team

  • 2+ years of progressive food-service, retail, or QSR experience, including at least 1 year in a Shift Leader, keyholder, assistant manager, or similar role

  • Proven ability to run strong shifts, coach team members, and hold people accountable in a respectful, practical way

  • Experience with opening and closing routines, food safety, cleaning standards, cash control, inventory counts, and fast-paced customer service

  • Comfortable building or adjusting staff schedules, responding to callouts, and keeping labour coverage organized

  • Good judgment when resolving day-to-day store issues, with the discipline to escalate serious people, safety, or business decisions to Leadership

  • Strong organization and follow-through across checklists, store visits, follow-ups, and recurring operational issues

  • Comfortable working hands-on in stores, including supporting busy shifts, resets, and training

  • FOODSAFE Level 1 certification required
