About Obanhmi

We run seven Vietnamese sandwich locations across Greater Vancouver, supported by a central production kitchen. The food is good - generous portions, fair price, and a product that wins people over on the first bite. We are growing, and we run a tight operation. That is why every team member matters.

The Role

You will work on the floor and help keep the store running smoothly during your shift.

This is a hands-on role for someone who is reliable, willing to learn, and comfortable working as part of a team. You will help with food prep, service, cleaning, and keeping things moving so customers get a fast, clean, consistent experience.

You report to the shift leader on duty. When the roaming manager is in store, you will also take direction from them. This role is below both the shift leader layer and the roaming manager layer.

  • Assemble orders accurately and quickly

  • Follow portioning, presentation, and speed standards

  • Help with sandwich making, salad rolls, sides, and other prep as assigned

  • Support the team during busy periods and stay focused on quality

Store Cleanliness

  • Keep your station clean, stocked, and organized

  • Follow cleaning checklists and food safety routines

  • Help keep the dining area, prep area, and equipment clean and ready for use

Team Support

  • Follow direction from the shift leader or roaming manager on duty

  • Communicate clearly with teammates

  • Help where needed when a station gets busy or falls behind

  • Treat coworkers and customers with respect

  • Be ready to rotate between prep, service, cleaning, and support tasks

Customer Experience

  • Serve customers politely and professionally

  • Handle orders carefully and check for accuracy

  • Help create a fast and welcoming experience for every guest

  • Previous food service, kitchen, or retail experience

  • Experience with sandwiches, salads, or quick-service restaurants

Compensation

$18.25 per hour starting wage.

Team Members become eligible for a $0.50 per hour raise for every 2,000 hours worked at Obanhmi, provided they are meeting expectations in attendance, reliability, work quality, food safety, teamwork, and conduct.
